Advisory Commission on Rents

 

 

The administration and operations of the Rent Control ordinance is overseen by a seven person commission appointed by the City Council. The Advisory Commission on Rents membership is made up of two tenant representatives, two landlord representatives and three neutral members.

The Commission meets on the third Thursday of January, April, July and November
at 5:45 p.m. at City Hall.

The Advisory Commission on Rents is responsible for advising the administration and the City Council on the implementation of the Rent Control Ordinance, changes to the Ordinance and the Program regulations, and the amount of the Mediation Fee.

Property owners, residents and members of the general public are encouraged to attend meetings of the Commission.
