How to Get Involved

On September 21st, be sure and eat out at Morocco’s Restaurant, as they will be donating 50% of their day’s proceeds to Project Homeless Connect! A long-time sponsor of Project Homeless Connect, their owner has expanded their hours for one day only from 11a.m.-11p.m. to make sure we can raise as much money as possible! Morocco’s is located at 86 N. Market Street in Downtown San José. Please contact Katherine Naszradi if you have any questions.

You can help end homelessness in San José!

VOLUNTEER TO HELP HOMELESS RESIDENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY!

Hold a donation drive for Project Homeless Connect events
Would you like to rally your congregation, family, friends, and co-workers to accumulate and distribute basic needs items to those who need it most? Don’t have too much money to spare but want to contribute? Suggested donations include bottled water and gifts cards or new backpacks, towels, sleeping bags, blankets and hygiene items.

Help out at a local homeless shelter and/or service provider
Are you looking for an ongoing life-changing experience? We can connect you to the most appropriate opportunity whether it is preparing lunch for chronically homeless individuals, serving dinner to homeless families, tutoring a homeless child, teaching a workshop on resume writing or English as a Second Language, or providing child care, we can connect you to the right agency!

Home Sweets Home: October 1st, 2010
Home Sweets Home is an all-day city-wide bake sale that will take place on September 1st in the Housing Department (12th floor of City Hall). Partnering with local bakeries and business that are joining with the City of San José in their mission to end homelessness, 100% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit Project Homeless Connect (PHC) events. Funds will go directly to purchasing supplemental giveaway items, developing marketing materials, securing a venue, and other operational costs associated with the events. For questions, or how to become a partner with Home Sweets Home in ending homelessness, please contact Katherine Naszradi at katherine.naszradi@sanjoseca.gov.
