Homeless Resources

The City of San José's Homeless Program funds a variety of projects for individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. Programs are administered by local non-profit service agencies, most of which are listed in the Homeless Resource Guide.

The Homeless Resource Guide is a compendium of information on shelters, rental assistance, mental health services, food services, recovery programs, veteran and youth services, and housing for families and individuals. The shelter hotline (1-800-774-3583 or 1-800-7SHELTER) provides pre-recorded information in English and Spanish on shelter availability in Santa Clara County for single men and women, families, and youth.
