| The Haven was, at one time, a home to nuns from a nearby church. Now, fully rehabilitated, it provides two- and three-bedroom apartments for families who have lost their home due to fire or other emergency. In partnership, the Red Cross provides assistance to displaced residents and refers them to the Haven for up to one-month, while residents search for permanent housing. Facility furnishings were purchased by the Emergency Housing Consortium, which also provides on-site management. | |||
